Unique countryside holiday cottages

At Dyson Farming Leisure, we don’t purposely build holiday cottages.

Unique countryside holiday cottages

All our holiday cottages have brought redundant farm buildings back to life – anything from barns to dovecotes. Doing this not only helps us sustainably use the resources available to us, but also allows us to create one-of-a-kind holiday cottages for families, couples and getaways with friends.

Our in-house teams of joiners, builders and decorators give each cottage its finishing touches, from made-to-measure windows and doors to dining tables fit for a feast.

Little Steeping, Lincolnshire

A former grain store, the four properties at Little Steeping are surrounded by countryside which has been set aside for environmental stewardship. Each property is unique, offering open plan spaces and cosy bedrooms. Outside, the spacious patios give you the perfect space to enjoy your surroundings, with pizza ovens and BBQs to cook up a feast. Festoon lighting means you can stay outside for longer.

Ilsley Farm Barns, West Berkshire

These former isolation barns have been finished to the highest standard. The open plan living, dining and kitchen areas open out onto the rolling fields through bi-folding doors and floor-to-ceiling windows. The outdoor seating area gives you spectacular views – look out for the red kites circling overhead and spot the racehorses passing by on the nearby gallop track.

The Dovecote, Lincolnshire

The Dovecote puts you right on the farm. This former dovecote is unique in its appearance thanks to its red brick tower. With one bedroom, it’s ideal for a couple’s retreat; cosy upstairs seating area gives you the ideal spot to relax with a book and watch the sunset over the farm.

Lower Ledge, Gloucestershire

Budding and Tull sit on a small complex of residential house and a conference centre in the heart of the Gloucestershire hills. The former barns have been transformed to create two stunning stone cottages with cosy living areas and bedrooms. The huge gardens offer unobstructed views of the surrounding hills – the perfect place for a family BBQ all-year-round.
