Keep the kids entertained this half term

Head to the beach

It might be chilly in February, but there’s no bad time to visit the beach. Whether you’re hunting for shells, kicking a football around or admiring the view, it’s the perfect family day out.

Whatever your cup of tea, the Lincolnshire coast offers everything from the traditional resorts of Skegness, Cleethorpes and Mablethorpe, to natural beauty with sand dunes, nature reserves and the Lincolnshire Wolds.

Our Lincs holiday cottages are all a short hop to the coast; Pearmain, Pippin, Pomeroy and Peasgood provide a peaceful break after a day at the amusements. They’re around a 30 minute drive from the coast.

Walk on the wild side

Did you know that our some of our holiday cottages are just down the road from some of the world’s most endangered animals?

From lions to red pandas, there are plenty of fascinating creatures to visit. ARK Wildlife and Dinosaur Park is right on your doorstep at Butterfly, Bumblebee and Ladybird, with Wolds Wildlife Park a little further away. In the south, Cotswold Wildlife Park is close to Gallops, Partridge, 1 and 2 Pheasant, and Downs.

For something a little different, head to Bristol Aquarium from Budding or Tull to meet a host of underwater creatures.

Explore the countryside

Blow away the cobwebs with a stroll in the countryside. Whether you’re taking on a short circular walk, ending at a quaint country pub for lunch, or looking for something more challenging, our holiday cottages are perfectly placed.

Become a history buff

Historic cities give you the ideal place to explore during half term. Museums, incredible architecture and somewhere incredible for lunch – you can’t go wrong.

With cottages just a stone’s throw from Lincoln, Bath, Bristol and Oxford, experience a range of eras from the Romans to the Industrial Revolution.
